London-based technology brand Nothing has officially announced the launch of its Phone (3a) series, scheduled for March 4, 2025, at 10 AM GMT. The use of the term “series” indicates that multiple devices may be introduced, potentially successors to the Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus models released last year.In a teaser video shared on social media, Nothing provided glimpses of the upcoming device’s design elements. The smartphone appears to feature the company’s signature transparent back panel and a horizontally aligned rear camera module, reminiscent of the Phone (2a). Notably, the camera module seems larger, suggesting a possible triple-camera setup. Leaked specifications hint at impressive features for the Phone (3a). The device is expected to sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. Under the hood, it may house Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, promising robust performance. The anticipated triple-camera system could include a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfie enthusiasts, a 32MP front camera is expected. Additionally, the phone might be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging and run on Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15.
Akis Evangelidis, co-founder of Nothing, emphasized the company’s focus for the (a) series: “For the (a) Series, we have a different set of users. When people buy a smartphone, some are looking for the greatest specs, they want the latest innovations and processors. Yet there are some other users that are equally excited about tech but are happy with just a great user experience—that’s who the (a) Series is for. We’re really focused on the core user needs in terms of camera, screen, processor, and of course design.” The announcement has generated significant anticipation within the tech community. Observers are keen to see how Nothing’s design philosophy and user-centric approach will manifest in the new Phone (3a) series. As the March 4 launch date approaches, enthusiasts eagerly await further details and official specifications.
